Advocacy, Charity & Hope

TWA was founded on a guiding principle - to uplift and inspire individuals with dignity, through tangible actions.

Advocacy

At TWA, we believe in fostering a sense of community and engaging in positive projects to support advocacy efforts. Additionally, we provide Pro Bono representation to those who require it. Our representatives have successfully presented and won cases for individuals who may not have had the means to do so on their own.

Charity

Charity, when practiced through TWA, encompasses a deeper meaning that goes beyond a hierarchical approach. It entails engaging with our clients through an anti-oppressive lens. A prime example of this is the Boots & Coats program, which was initially supported by a generous patron who recognized the importance of preserving dignity. In essence, the foundation of charity lies in the Golden Rule.

Hope

At TWA, our projects are aimed at providing hope through meaningful action. We understand that it can be challenging to accept help without feeling like one's dignity is compromised. That's why we strive to involve individuals in our efforts, as we believe that having nothing expected of someone can be a greater indignity. Our goal is to build hope and inspire positive change.
